Terms of Use

Last updated: 30 July 2026

The short version

Grid Your Art costs $2.00 USD, which unlocks one hour of unlimited downloads. There are no accounts and no subscription, so there is nothing to cancel.

The images you upload stay on your device. You own everything you make with the tool, including work you sell.

If you want a refund, ask within 30 days and you will get one. You do not need to give a reason.

The one thing we ask is that you do not copy the tool itself.

1. Who these terms are with

Grid Your Art ("we", "us", "our") operates the website at gridyourart.com and the grid drawing tool available on it. We are a small independent operation based in Australia.

These terms apply whenever you use the site or the tool. If you do not agree with them, please do not use the site. You can reach us at support@gridyourart.com.

2. What Grid Your Art is

Grid Your Art draws a grid over an image so you can transfer it to paper or canvas using the grid method. It also produces a scaled reference sheet and a grayscale version to work from.

The tool runs entirely in your browser. Your image is never uploaded to us and never reaches our servers, and everything the tool produces is generated on your own device.

You do not need an account. There is nothing to sign up for and nothing to cancel.

3. Price and what you get

Composing and previewing your grid is free. Downloading the finished files costs $2.00 USD as a single one-off payment.

That payment unlocks unlimited downloads for one hour. During that hour you can download as many grids as you like, at any size or ratio, as often as you want. It is a one-off charge and not a subscription, and we will not charge you again unless you choose to buy another hour.

Your unlock is stored in your browser rather than in an account, which means it applies to the browser and device you paid on. If you clear your browsing data, use private browsing, or move to another device during the hour, the unlock may be lost. If that happens, email support@gridyourart.com with your receipt number and we will sort it out.

4. Payment

Payments are processed by Stripe. We never see or store your card details.

Your receipt comes from Stripe and includes a receipt number. Keep it, because it is what we use to find your payment if you need support or a refund.

Prices are in US dollars. Your bank may apply a currency conversion fee, which is set by them and outside our control.

5. Refunds

If you want a refund, ask within 30 days of your purchase and we will refund you in full. You do not need to give a reason, and we will not ask you to justify it.

Request one through the support page. You will need the email address you paid with and your receipt number, which is how we confirm the payment is yours. We ask for both because a receipt number on its own is not proof that the payment belongs to you.

Refunds are returned to the card you paid with, and usually appear within five to ten business days depending on your bank.

Nothing in these terms limits your rights under the Australian Consumer Law, or under any other consumer protection law that applies where you live. Those rights exist regardless of what this page says.

6. Your images and your artwork

You keep every right you already have in the images you use and in the artwork you make from them.

Because the tool runs in your browser, we never receive your images and could not use them even if we wanted to. We claim no licence and no ownership over anything you upload or produce.

You are free to sell, exhibit, publish or otherwise commercially use the artwork you create with the tool. We ask for no credit and no royalty.

You are responsible for having the right to use the images you upload. Gridding someone else's photograph does not give you the right to publish or sell the result, and that is a matter between you and whoever owns the copyright.

7. Acceptable use

When using the site and the tool, you agree not to:

  • copy, mirror, republish or redistribute the tool, the site, or any part of either
  • reverse engineer, decompile or attempt to derive the source of the tool, except where the law expressly permits it
  • circumvent, disable or interfere with the payment step or any access control
  • scrape, crawl or bulk-download the site or its assets, beyond ordinary search engine indexing
  • use automated means to create payments or refund requests
  • resell, rent or sublicense access to the tool
  • use the site or the tool for anything unlawful

If you do any of these, we may block your access without notice.

8. Our intellectual property

The tool, the site, the code behind them, the written guides, the sample packs and the Grid Your Art name and branding are ours, and are protected by copyright.

Buying an unlock buys you the right to use the tool and to keep the files it produces. It does not transfer any ownership in the tool or the site, and it does not give you any right to copy or redistribute them.

The output files are yours. The thing that made them is not.

9. Availability

We aim to keep the site running, but this is a small operation and we do not promise uninterrupted availability. The site may be unavailable for maintenance, or because of problems with the hosting, payment or other services we rely on.

The tool is provided as is. We do not warrant that it will be free of bugs, that it will work on every browser and device, or that its output will suit every particular purpose. Very large images can exceed what a browser is able to process, particularly on phones and tablets.

If the tool does not work for you, that is exactly what the refund is for.

10. Limits on our liability

To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss arising from your use of the site or the tool. That includes lost time, wasted materials, spoiled artwork, missed deadlines and lost profits.

Where our liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the amount you paid us, which for almost everyone is $2.00.

Once again, nothing here limits any right you have under the Australian Consumer Law or another consumer protection law that applies to you. Under that law, our goods and services come with guarantees that cannot be excluded.

11. Age

This site is not directed at children. You should be at least 16 to use it, and if you are under 18 you should have a parent or guardian's permission before paying for anything.

12. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. If we do, we will change the date at the top of this page. The version that applies to your purchase is the one published at the time you made it.

If a change is significant, we will make it obvious rather than quietly editing the page.

13. Governing law

These terms are governed by the law of Australia. If any part of them turns out to be unenforceable, the rest of them continue to apply.

If something goes wrong, please email us before anything else. Almost every problem can be settled with a short conversation and a refund.
